A bocce player of note is Umberto Granaglia (May 20, 1931 – December 13, 2008), who was awarded the honor of "Player of the Twentieth Century" by the Confédération Mondiale des Sports de Boules.
Between 1957 and 1980 Granaglia won a record 13 World Championships, 12 European Championship titles, and 46 Italian National Championships.

    a ground throw at another bocce to move that bocce out of the way. Most games in the US do not require the player to announce the shot, as in international play. Volo is the aerial shot, and punto is the shot intended to get close to the pallino.

    T. The most common method is an extendable pointer that can be placed between the bocce to measure the distance from the pallino or jack.

How do you score points in bocce?
         To get the bocce closer to the pallino than opponents.
          For example, if I get 2 bocce closer to to the pallino than you, then I score 2 points.
